Non-Profit Skills Training

We never thought that we would be welcoming Spring in South Africa with such a cold spell.  The weather has been exceptionally cold and despite the fear of Corona and the cold.. our students have still attended the classes . We are so proud of each and every one for making the effort to uplift their lives by gaining a skill that can assist them with income generation.  Jobs are scarce and although the level of lockdown has been lifted to level 2 , many people remain in poverty.  This has been very evident in our fundraising.  The general public and donors who have in the past supported us are now supporting feeding schemes.  While we agree with feeding the hungry we also feel that teaching skills to provide for a later date is also essential.   So lets keep on with our skills training and hopefully this pandemic will soon be over and life can get back to some sort of normality. In saying the above, we have been blessed to be able to pass on foods and goods to the needy have have been donated to us.

Mpilo Nxumalo our computer training facilitator paid visits to local creches and distributed masks and biscuits and such that had been donated . Thank you Robin Hood Foundation for the kind gesture.

Libby Weir our faithful donor from Australia together with her Rotary Club donated foodstuff to the people in  Inchanga who she generally supports annually but has been unable to come out due to the restricted travel this year.  Thank you to Brett of Village Mall Superspar for facilitating this delivery so professionally.  6 families who are extremely poverty stricken were sent groceries and were thrilled to receive these goods

Our collaboration with Daisy White of the Magic Moments Trust has proven to be one of great success.  Daisy visits us once a week and teaches fabric painting to students who then can sell the finished products on to their community or in our craft shop on site.

Graduations at Embocraft Training Centre are always a delight and below the students display proudly their certificates of achievement.

We are eager to have our international visitors and look forward to the day when once again they enter the doors  to our centre.  In the meantime wish all our students, funders and visitors a peaceful and happy Spring and please stay safe and practice safe distancing and sanitizing
